On September 11, 2001, Flight 93 left Newark Liberty International Airport bound for San Francisco. When terrorists hijacked the plane, the 40 passengers and crew fought back, forcing it down in a remote field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Today, the Flight 93 National Memorial is taking shape in that field — 2,200 pastoral acres that have become sacred ground. The Families of Flight 93, whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, support the creation of the Memorial. Due for dedication on the 10th anniversary of 9/11/01, the first phase of its construction requires $30 million in public donations.

Ride With the 40 is the ultimate grassroots movement: Ten days on the open road to raise funds for the Memorial,
a permanent tribute to the 40 Heroes.

They made history by taking action. Be a part of history. Join the ride.

Here's a link to their schedule for Friday, 3 Sept. Let's welcome them with open arms and wallets!!

HONORARY GRAVE MARKING OF CALEB PRATT

Revolutionary War Patriot Grave Marking

September 11, 2010

Sashabaw Plains Chapter cordially invites you and your guests to the Honorary Grave Marking of CALEB PRATT - Revolutionary War Patriot on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 2 PM - Andersonville Cemetery Corner of Big Lake Road and Ridgewood Road - Andersonville, Michigan. There will be light refreshments served after the dedication. Charlotte Cooper – Cell Phone 248-892-6633 or cmpcooper@aol.com

This is not an official mission, as we have no Ride Captains. We have done a few of these missions before to honor these forgotten heroes of the Revolutionary War.
The PGR is invited to stand a flagline for the ceremonies ensuing on this day. If anyone has extra flags to place in the ground that would be even nicer. It is usually not a
very long ceremony but it is something that needs to be done and it is very uplifting to know that you are remembering a war Veteran from long ago. Any questions should be
directed to Charlotte Cooper, who is in charge of this event, by phone or e mail.

Any Members who would like to attend will be welcome to do so.
Anyone who would like to be a Ride Captain and make this a mission
will be welcome to do so also.

Thank you for your patriotism
