Hello Brothers & Sisters...
Are any of you coming to Florida? Last year we had about 20 MI PGR members gather in the central Florida city of Sebring for a great reunion get together.
Plans are underway for a repeat in either Feb. or Mar. If you'll be coming to FL let Jim or Jan (mailman & milktoast) or myself know and we'll get out a gathering time, date place etc.

The family of Jake Olthoff has invited the PGR to stand in honor of his service to our nation.

Jake was an Army medic, special forces in the Iraq war. He is survived by his wife Lisa and their three small children: his son Eli age 3, and twin girls, Isabella and Abigail age 4 months.

Visitation:
Wed. 10 Mar 2010 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Cremation will follow the funeral services with Jake's cremains to be interred on Friday at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
The PGR has been asked to have a flag line at the cemetery. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Sounds like many GOOD people will be involved in putting this together, and all the PGR has to do is
what we do best.......take part in a short ESCORT and proudly "STAND THE FLAG LINE" while
welcoming these troops home from Iraq!!! :wink:

Okay....FINALIZED AGENDA!!! (3-9-10)
Rolling Thunder will be taking the lead on this one, with much welcome and appreciated assistance from the Patriot Guard Riders, with our Forgotten Eagles brothers and sisters putting together the escort.
POC for Rolling Thunder is Al Thompson (Flagline at Catholic Central High School)
POC for Forgotten Eagles is Vic Olivieri (LEO/motorcycle escort from VFW to High School)

PGR Ride Captains include:
TattooTaz (Fred Hillary-assisting w/flagline at High School)
Sixcarbs (Jack Allen-assisting w/escort)
Ozzy (Jon Osborn-assisting w/escort)

Rolling Thunder Flag Line at High School, to meet at the 180th Trans
Headquarters Bldg adjacent to the High School property, at 2pm on 3/12/10.

Headquarters is located at 1430 Parslow Dr, Muskegon MI. I-96 to Business 31 (Seaway Dr) Seaway Dr west to Hackley. Hackley west
to Parslow. Parslow north and dead-ends at Headquarters Bldg.

The troops are not flying in, however they are being bused in from out of State, and escorted by various LEO's.
Forgotten Eagles has secured consent from the military (as well as the LEO's) for those wishing to join in the escort
to do so. Motorcycles and cages alike.

U.S. 31 to Sternberg West. Sternberg to Old Grand Haven Rd (about a half a mile). North on Old Grand Haven Rd to VFW Post (about a half a mile). Staging will take place on Friday, 3/12 @ 2:30pm. with the bus leaving for the High School @ 3:30pm SHARP!
